Treat Cellulite By Burning The Fat

Cellulite is fat that is caught between bands of connective tissue.  There are many treatment options for cellulite.  Some of them are expensive and well worth the expense.  But no matter how high end you go on the cellulite treatment options (Velasmooth, Endermologie), there is still no substitute for exercise.

In fact, the improvements gained by Velasmooth and Endermologie last longer if you exercise.  Cardiovascular exercise is the way to burn fat.  Let's review different ways that you can do cardiovascular exercise to make your body a fat burning machine.

1. Do 30-45 minutes of cardiovascular exercise at an intensity that is comfortable enough so that you can talk but challenging enough to prevent you from singing.  Warm up and cool down for 3 minutes.  Pick a mode (walking, running, aerobic dance, cycling) that you enjoy.

2. Do (3) 10 minute segments during your day.  You can do one segment in the morning, one at lunchtime and one right before or after dinner.  10 minute segments are "doable" for people that just can't imagine or fit in 30-45 minutes of continuous exercise.  Studies show that 10 minutes will give you enough exercise to keep your heart healthy.  Also, your body continues to burn extra calories even when you are finished exercising (mostly for the first 2 hours).  This is true whether you do your cardio for 10 minutes or 30 minutes.

3. Do 30 minutes of interval training.  This means that you will vary the intensity over the 30 minute duration.  Using a treadmill as an example:

Start: 3.2 mph for 2 minutes

Interval 1: 3.7 mph for 3 minutes

Interval 2: 4.4 mph for 3 minutes

Interval 3: 4.6 mph for 3 minutes

Interval 4: 4.0 mph for 3 minutes

Interval 5: 4.7 mph for 3 minutes

Interval 6: 4.2 mph for 3 minutes

Interval 7: 4.8 mph for 3 minutes

Interval 8: 4.0 mph for 3 minutes

Interval 9: 3.5 mph for 2 minutes

Interval 10: 3.0 mph for 2 minutes

Please note that this is an example and may not be suited for your current fitness level.  If you are on a different type of equipment, vary the levels accordingly (high, lower, high, lower).  You can have fun challenging yourself to do intensities that you've never done before.

Ideally, I recommend that you try to use all 3 methods in your training.  This way your body will never get used to just one way of doing your cardio.

By using all 3 methods of doing cardiovascular exercise, you will turn your body into a fat burning machine.  This will help to rid your body of cellulite and attenuate any cellulite treatments that you might try.
