Cellulite: Consistency
Whether you are new to "Cellulite Tips" or an old member to the course, it's important that you stay on track and don't lose focus on the war on cellulite. Consistency is key and it will improve over time if you stay with it.
Please keep in mind the following:
1) Cardiovascular Exercise
Cellulite is composed of fat caught between bands of connective tissue. Decrease fat and you'll be on your way to reducing cellulite on your body. Remember that you need to do cardiovascular exercise at least 3 times per week. Also, you want to aim for a duration of 30 minutes or more. This 30 minute interval can be broken down into smaller increments done through out the day: For example, 2 bouts of 15 minutes or 3 bouts of 10 minutes. Choose any mode of exercise, so long as you do it!
2) Strength and Conditioning Exercise
You must maintain or increase the muscle tone in the areas where you have cellulite. This is best achieved through calisthenics or strength training type movements. If your knees are healthy, squats and lunges really hit the cellulite prone areas. Be sure to do these movements in a slow and controlled fashion and continue each exercise until you feel a "burn" in the exercising muscle. This should not be pain, just a burn. Other exercises will be detailed in future "Cellulite Tips."
3) Treatments
Treatment options vary depending on your budget but there are some good options that are relatively inexpensive. Creams and gels do work if you use them consistently. It's very important that they are massaged in very vigorously so that they will work to their capacity. It's also important to exercise in addition to using a topical lotion.
4) Visualization
The power of the mind is so important when you want to make changes is your body and your life. You will achieve your goal to minimize the appearance of cellulite on your body more quickly if you picture your body beautiful and cellulite free while doing all of the above: -Cardiovascular Exercise -Strength and Conditioning Exercise -Treatments
It is most effective when you close your eyes and focus on the point right above the bridge of your nose right between your eyebrow. Use this as a "movie screen" and picture your body the way you'd like it to be.
